Brabazon House is situated on the edge of a busy shopping precinct in Redhill. The original building was utilised for the civil service and then laid empty for several years. The original concrete structure was built in the late 1950’s and latterly fell into a bad state of repair. It was then demolished to podium level, a floor above ground level, and strengthening work took place in the basement. A larger, new steel structure has been built on the top of the existing structure, comprising of a basement, ground floor, podium levels, levels 1-5 and 2 roof levels. A mezzanine floor has been introduced between ground and podium levels to form an additional car parking area. This has created a large area of office space with shops to the front elevation at ground level together with a car park situated beneath. |
