Atlas Ward helps Tesco with its first purpose built import centre in the UK
Atlas Ward is currently working on a new project to build a 1.0m sq ft import storage facility in Teesport.
The contract was awarded by main contractor Bowmer & Kirkland on behalf of UK retail giant Tesco Atlas Ward is responsible for the design, fabrication and erection of nearly 4220 tonnes of structural steelwork for this project.

The project was awarded to them by main contractors Fitzpatrick on behalf of global provider of sustainable logistics space, Gazeley and Standard Life Investments Funds Limited.
The new warehouse and distribution complex, based at G.Park Sittingbourne, will be used by leading retailer Morrisons to service and supply its South East stores.

200 tonnes of Fabsec plated floor beams were also used in project.
